Inca Trail Qhapaq ñan

The Inca Trail Qhapaq Ñan is a net of paved trails, which go up to 4500 meteres above sea level, some paths cross rope bridges above deep rivers. The trail is like the spine of a road system, that covers more tan 30.000 kilometers. It connects the pacific coast like the Amazon, the mystic rute Qhapaq Ñan as well as populated áreas, administrative centers, farming land, mineries and ceremonial centers.

The trail “Real Qhapaq Ñan” runs through 6 countries in South America: Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile and Argentina, allowing the Inca to control his Empire and to move his troops, according to necessities, from the capital Cusco. Along the trail were resting places for llamas, housing and military bases.


In Cusco the Qhapaq Ñan leads through two Andean communities, Checcopucca and Ancaschaca, which are located in the district Santiago. The trail Qhapaq Ñan crosses the whole spiritual Andean center “Magical Portal Mountain”. At this magical place you can feel a pure and healing energy, your mind reaches a state of peace and your body energizes and regenerate.
